The lips may be silent, but the eyes will speak for itself. Fighting demons are very difficult doing alone, being with someone who cares will definitely help push them away.
Having read Mace's background story in the second book Rock Chick Rescue, I already know that this one is going to be emotionally deep and it truly is. This book is very dark and heavy, mind blowing and very heart warming yet very funny and very crazy just like the rest of the books. Even if tears are threatening, I find myself laughing along the way. Welcome to a one crazy emotional ride.
Mace's tragic past is truly an earth-shattering experience. I totally understood why he did what he did, why he became who he is, why there are sadness and darkness in his eyes. Learning the reasons behind all of those makes me just want to melt and give him a hug. I am so happy that he found peace thru Stella. Through her, he was able to push away the demons, forgive himself and move on. Knowing Mace as a one hot badass Alpha hero, it is truly squee worthy to learn that he is so affectionate and he even does not mind PDA. So sweet!
I love Stella's high spirit, she was able to slap those mean bastards on the face without even lifting a hand. She knows how to make a point. Her voice are absolutely breathless. I loved that K.A did not make Stella so stubborn when it comes to admitting her feelings for him, though she is at first but along the way, she proves and she fights for their relationship.
This have several explosive scenes. It even started with a bang. Lots of it actually. This is very heavy and yet very sweet. A second chance in life and in love. This is so dark, so heavy, his past is so tragic, her's is violent. I felt chills and then I felt numb. This is so deep and so emotional yet very crazy. The side characters have a very huge impact on the story. Having read all the books ahead of this series and having some of the lead characters on those books featured on this one feels like I am with them as they move on with their lives and as they face another drama in it.
I loved that in this book, we can see the happenings from the several point of view of the other lead characters from the previous books. And I must say the Epilogue is totally incredible. Looking forward on another book series where K.A will feature another batch of Hot bunch from Mace's security agency in Los Angeles. Can't wait!
