Book Review: Right (Wrong #2) | Fling (Wrong #2.5) by Jana Aston

"It's okay to rewrite your happily ever after. Sometimes the right guy is the one you never see coming."

I've been looking forward for Everly's story since I read Wrong and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed Right more than the first one. Both are very funny and amusing but then the heroine's character in this story is very unusual and interesting.

Everly is very bold, quirky, highly spirited, straight talker and has a lot of confidence to be able to do the things she have done to pursue her childhood crush. She has a lot of character in her that makes Sawyer want her badly. Sawyer's scheme in pursuing Everly is highly similar to hers so they are definitely a perfect match.

I really thought at first before reading this book that she will end up with her childhood crush Finn. But then Chloe, her best friend, is right, sometimes the right guy is the one you never see coming. The feeling of getting pursued makes her feel special. Sawyer's way of making her want him too is so outrageous, that it is so sweet and romantic.

The plot twist is really a surprise. I did not see that one coming. It is simple but highly effective. With the kind of character Everly has, only love can definitely alter her perception in life. A brilliant way to use this kind of powerful tool in a story.

This story is very light, funny, sexy, so entertaining and tactical - for those who want to stalk someone, there are some tips here. Oops... Each book in this series is completely stand alone. But other characters from the other books are mentioned in here as well. J.A's greatest asset is her humor. So if you enjoyed this book, I'm sure you will enjoy the last book of the series - Trust with Chloe's story more. But WAIT! before that a short story for the secondary characters - Sandra and Gabe in this book entitled Fling is also available. Feel free to read my short review below.

Fling by Jana Aston (Wrong # 2.5)

The story is very short but appealing. It is funny, fast-paced yet very flirty, sexy and playful. Gabe and Sandra are secondary characters to Everly and Sawyer's story in Right where Everly played match maker to these couple, because apparently, they need one. Well, this is their story.

Gabe is not her boss, but he is her boss's business partner so technically he is. Sandra has been lusting on Gabe for as long as she had been working on that office, but he seems to be unreachable. But then a cupid in disguise named Everly steps in, and well all things progress after that, let us thank her. Gabe is possesive, even though he had no interest in pursuing the night that happened between them he can't seem to accept the knowledge of Sandra dating someone else, hence he made sure Sandra remember the night they had which is totally swoon worthy and uber sexy.

The ending is very interesting, plus the epilogue is so sweet and amusing, it left room for so much imagination. J.A has able to put a catchy and sweet romantic comedy novella in less than 100 pages. This is light, funny and easy to read. Perfect for taking a rest from reading novels.
