Book Review: Falling Away by Jasinda Wilder

Letting go of someone you love is never easy, knowing that you can't have them, but then you still have that tiny bit of hope that they will come to you. Unfortunately, that tiny bit of hope is what makes everything so difficult.

Time - is the very one thing in this world that we can never get back. No matter what we do, we can only either do the right thing next time, or we have no choice but to regret what we have done and move forward.

While I was reading Falling Under, I already felt Ben's pain, his regrets and his heart-ache in loving his best friend Kylie. Unfortunately, Kylie already found her love, so Ben needs to stay away from her and move on with his life. Falling Away is the story of Ben and Echo who have met under an unnatural circumstances. Both have been dealing with their own struggles but with each other, they have found a way to somehow escape the reality of life. But when the time comes to face the reality, it hit them hard. Ben, to be with Echo, he must go back to the place he left, and Echo, scared that with her past, she cannot be with Ben.

I love this story in as much as I loved the first book of the series - Falling Into You. Both stories have delivered the emotions that are needed in the story. I may not agree with some of the ways the characters in this series did to cope with these emotions, but in reality of life, it does happen. This series is an eye opener, that problems may not be solved easily, it cannot be escaped, neither can be ignored, but no matter how difficult, it must be faced.

This series has shown different kinds of loss, different ways to cope and different ways to move on. All four stories are very heart-warming, truly emotional, hot, sexy and yet totally consuming.

Falling Away is the fourth and final book of the ‘Falling‘ series, with Falling Into You as the first one with the story of Kylie's parents - Nell and Colton , Falling Into Us as the second book with the story of Ben's parents - Becca and Jason and Falling Under as the story of Kylie and Oz. All books can be read as a stand-alone, but to get the full impact of the series, I suggest to read them in order.

Book Review: Falling Under by Jasinda Wilder

There are a few ways one can face a problem but there are much more ways to avoid facing them. Not all ways may be good, but once caught in the middle of it, whatever reasons one may have, as long as it can lessen the burden, right or wrong sometimes does not matter anymore.

This book is the story of Oz and Kylie, both from different level of society, from different type of family but music brought them closer together. This story proves that looks can be deceiving, as the famous phrase say 'Don't judge the book by its cover'.

I had a love/hate relationship with this book, but I can say that I preferred the first book way better than the subsequent two. There are a lot of emotions happening in this series but there are also a lot of ways the characters cope with their emotions. This series is such an emotional and consuming series.

Book Review: Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder

Falling Into Us is the story of Becca and Jason, both part of a troubled family, but together have learned how to handle their situations and both faced their future with confidence.

The first half of the story has really made me think what's coming aside from the sweet and bitter life they have. The author made us feel close to each characters first, she brought us in the journey together and then surprise us with a shuddering pain. Having read the first book 'Falling Into You' made me think that this book series is all about an emotion called pain. I felt the pain that both characters felt in both series.

Poetry and music is such a huge part of this series, that it helped express the true feelings of the characters. This is another heart-warming and a truly emotional story. Though I can say that I loved the first book more, I guess the emotions both characters felt is somehow similar but explained differently.

This book made me realize that other's mistakes and the lessons they've learned can be yours as well. Just learn from their experiences and one might be able to avoid making the same mistakes.

Point of View: Becca and Jason

Falling Into Us is the second book of  the 'Falling' series by Jasinda Wilder, with 'Fallling Into You' as its first installment. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but to have the full experience, I suggest to read the first book of the series 'Falling Into You' to have an idea of Nell and Colton's story, as their story happened at the same time as Becca and Jason's.

Book Review: Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

Losing someone you love is very heart-breaking, mind-blowing and earth-shattering experience, that no one deserves, but it can happen.

The first part of the book about Kyle and Nell's love story is very heart-felt and truly emotional. The way Nell lost Kyle made me understand Nell's regrets, guilt, pain and suffering. Then she met Colton - hot, protective, badass, Alpha male and the older brother of Kyle. He made her realize that love is worthy of a second chance.

This story tells us that it is okay not to be okay. It is okay to be broken but afterwards we must know how to pick up the pieces, and stand up. Loving someone means accepting their past, their personality and moving on to the future.

The story is very intense, hot and sexy yet consuming. My chest is almost ready to explode all the way through. If you are fond of reading heavy and a truly emotional story, then this book is right for you.

Book Review: The Retrieval Duet by Aly Martinez | Retrieval and Transfer

The Retrieval Duet is a unique story of two couples whose life are unexpectedly entwined with each other. A story of a never-ending love, to fight for love; a story of survival and of giving trust.

Retrieval (Book 1) focuses more on the story of our first couple Roman and Elisabeth, a story of a marriage with a never-ending love, yet tested by trials that lead to separation but centers on the desire to fight for love.

There are several reasons why a marriage may not work, it is not always because of falling out of love and this story proves it. The marriage maybe done but the love for each other never goes away. If you love someone, fight for it, you must be willing to do anything to make them happy, and yet communication should always be a foundation in every relationship - these have been my realizations while reading this book.

I'm utterly surprised when I came to realized where the story is headed. It is rare but then, all stories are. It is heart-warming and will leave you curious, but then expect more with the second book.

The first book concluded with a surprise that will give a hint to the story of our second couple. 

Tip: Have a copy of the second book ready before finishing the first one. 

Transfer (Book 2) is a story of survival, of love and giving trust to someone even if trusting someone is difficult based on experience. One will never know how strong one is, until being strong is their only option.

The story came with a complete shock and will somehow justify the devastation felt and the actions made by the protagonists. It is intense, full of emotion, suspense, thrilling and sexy yet will give so much realizations. The conclusion to this book completed both stories and shows that a family can be built not only by relation of blood, but also with love. A must read!
